For IT partners
A governed AI office your clients can own, and you can run
Small firms usually have an IT provider, not an IT department. The partner programme lets managed service providers sell, install and support Agent Office for their clients: one dedicated instance per client, with the client owning its data, its keys and its licence.
How it works
A partner buys a licence for each client instance at a wholesale price (list minus the partner's discount) and resells it at a price it sets itself. The client business is the licensee and accepts the end-user terms before installation; the partner is the partner of record. The partner installs and runs a separate instance for each client, on the client's own hardware, in the client's own cloud account, or on a machine the partner dedicates to that client. The partner answers the client's questions and fixes what it can; Agent Office LLC fixes the product. Nothing in the software checks a licence, so all of this is contractual.
What it is not
- Not hosting by us. Agent Office LLC hosts no client instances, runs no fleet console, and receives no data or telemetry from any client machine.
- Not multi-tenant. One client, one instance, one dedicated machine or VM. Two clients never share an instance or an operating system.
- Not the partner owning the client. The client owns its data, keys, model accounts and licence. If a partner leaves, the client keeps running.
Tiers
There is no fee to join, no minimum purchase, no stock to hold, and no training or service a partner must buy. Tiers reward trained staff and real client instances, not purchase quotas.

- Only Certified Technicians install for clients. Certification is free for a partner's first three technicians. Until a partner has one, the client may buy our remote setup directly, or the partner waits for its certification.
- Referral route. A firm that does not want to resell can refer a client who buys directly, for 10% of the client's first-year licence fee, paid after the client pays.
- Leads go to Certified and Premier partners serving the buyer's state; the buyer chooses, and we pass on contact details only with the buyer's consent. No lead fees.
- Prices. We publish a suggested list price. Partners set their own resale prices.
What partners commit to
- Licence every client instance before installing it, in the client's legal name, and reconcile the list with our licence records once a year.
- One dedicated instance per client. Several client VMs may sit on one partner host, each dedicated to one client. Where the partner hosts, the client is told in writing where its instance runs.
- The client's owner holds the owner role, the PIN and the second factor. The partner never holds them. By default the partner has no role in the client's console; admin access is time-boxed, or standing only with the client's written consent. Roles are changed only with the
ao logincommand, never by editing the instance file, so every role change is an audit row the client can see. - Remote access only with the client's written consent, which the client can withdraw at any time.
- Root is root. A partner with root on a machine can read that machine, and says so to the client plainly, in writing, before taking root.
- Security releases within 7 days and other releases within 30, unless the client asks in writing to wait. Keep the operating system patched and copy backups off the machine.
- Honest marketing. Describe only what the release does, claim no certification or regulatory compliance Agent Office does not hold, and use only screenshots of the real product. For a client hosted on the partner's own machine, say it runs on a machine dedicated to the client, not "your own machine", and say who holds root.
- Never ship model weights. Clients choose their models and see each model's licence.
Support and certification
| Level | Who | What |
|---|---|---|
| L1 | Partner | The client's first contact: how-to questions, triage, collecting diagnostics |
| L2 | Partner | Installation, configuration, upgrades, backups and restore tests, known issues and documented workarounds |
| L3 | Agent Office LLC | Product defects, security fixes, root-cause analysis, releases and patches |
L3 works on business days, US Central Time, with the same targets as for direct customers (support targets). There is no 24/7 cover, and we say so.
Certified Technician is a person, not a company. The course is the product documentation plus a practical exam on a clean Ubuntu 24.04 VM: install in both access modes and finish onboarding, read ao doctor and ao specs, set a provider's data policy, engage and release the kill switch and verify the audit chain, run a backup and a restore test, rehearse an upgrade, write a tailnet policy that separates the office from the admin console, add and remove an admin login, uninstall, and produce a support request with nothing secret in it. Certification lasts 12 months.
When a partner leaves
The client is protected: its licence continues to its end date, nothing on the machine stops, and the client chooses to renew directly or move to another partner, at no charge for switching. Within 30 days the partner hands over the credentials it created, the instance file, the vault key's location, the backups and its runbook notes, then removes its own access and confirms in writing.
